Aging Well with HIV
The Aging Well with HIV program is an engaging workshop for adults living with HIV that fosters mutual support and builds confidence to manage health and maintain an active, fulfilling life.
Description
As more adults with HIV are living longer, this program was developed to address the unique challenges associated with managing this chronic condition. We welcome anyone affected by HIV— whether living with the virus yourself, supporting a loved one as a caregiver, or concerned friends/family members—to join our virtual program. Participants will learn techniques, skills, and lifestyle changes to help cope with ongoing challenges related to HIV, most chronic conditions, and improve their overall health. Everyone can tailor the activities and content to meet their specific needs.
This six-session workshop will complement existing programs and treatments, rather than conflict with them. It is designed to enhance routine care and provide education specific to HIV. Each session covers unique topics, including managing multiple medications (including those specific for HIV, like PrEP), addressing symptoms, nutrition, physical activity, and other lifestyle management skills. Please note that seating is limited, and registration is required.
Technology requirements: Internet access, computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone with video, microphone, and speaker capabilities.
