The Workplace Chronic Disease Self-Management Program is an online interactive group program for people with any type of chronic disease, their caregivers, concerned friends and family members. This program has been modified to accommodate people in the workforce.
Description
Chronic diseases affect almost 1 in 2 American adults, negatively impacting their quality of life, whether at home or in the workplace. Chronic conditions include ongoing health issues such as anxiety, arthritis, balance, respiratory, cancer, and heart disease. The Workplace Chronic Disease Self-Management program is an evidence-based, online interactive group program developed at Stanford University with a series of 12 different sessions for people with any type of chronic disease, their caregivers, concerned friends, and family members.
Topics include techniques to help balance work and home life and how to deal with symptoms of chronic conditions, such as fatigue, pain, and emotional problems.
