Ask An Expert: A Live Q&A Series | Endometriosis Awareness Month
Join us for another edition of TGH's "Ask an Expert: A Live Q&A Series" event where our subject matter experts in endometriosis will take your pre-submitted & live questions.
Description
March is Endometriosis Awareness Month. Endometriosis is a condition where uterine tissue grows outside of the uterus, causing pain and potentially impacting fertility. According to the World Health Organization, endometriosis “affects roughly 10% (190 million) of reproductive age women and girls globally,” – starting as early as one’s first menstrual period, and as late as menopause.
Diana Encalada-Soto, MD and Courtney Mascoe, MD are here to shine a light on this subject in our latest ‘Ask an Expert’ event, Wednesday, March 19, 2025. They will address the ways endometriosis can impact those from adolescence into adulthood. Dr. Mascoe, an expert in pediatric and adolescent gynecology, will provide insights into early diagnosis and management, while Dr. Encalada-Soto, a fellowship-trained minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon, will share her expertise in comprehensive treatment approaches, including complex surgical excision options.
The live presentation will be on TGH's Facebook page and YouTube channel from 12:30- 1:00 p.m. Please pre-register to receive the broadcast link and to pre-submit any questions.
