Description
The Chronic Pain Self-Management program is a virtual, interactive group program for people experiencing any type of chronic pain themselves and their support team of caregivers and concerned loved ones, to learn how to live a healthier life with issues associated with chronic pain. Chronic pain conditions can have a dramatic impact on lives and emotions, and are the type that lasts for over 3 – 6 months. This often includes orthopedic issues like musculoskeletal, nerve, or pelvic pain, fibromyalgia, migraines, repetitive strain injury, and post-surgical pain that lasts after the tissues have healed. This 6-session workshop may also benefit individuals with conditions such as neuralgias, Crohn’s disease, and irritable bowel syndrome.
Each weekly session covers different topics and is highly interactive, where mutual support and success build participants’ confidence in their ability to manage their health and maintain active, fulfilling lives.
