The final stages of cancer treatment can be both exciting and stressful. Thriving and Surviving with Cancer, a Stanford University Self-Management Resource Center program, is an online interactive group workshop for cancer survivors, their support team of caregivers, family, & friends. There are six sessions with various topics that focus on regaining a “new normal” after a cancer treatments and learning how to live a healthier life as a cancer survivor. Each session builds upon the previous with various topics that address the needs many cancer survivors cope with, such as the physical, emotional, and psychological changes and effects of post-treatment. Participants can regain confidence and skills to learn how to adjust to a “new normal” and live a healthier life as a cancer survivor.
