Ask an Expert: A Live Q&A Series | National Midwifery Week
Join us for another edition of TGH's "Ask an Expert: A Live Q&A Series" event where our subject matter experts in midwifery will take your pre-submitted & live questions.
Description
National Midwifery Week occurs each year at the beginning of October. It was started by The American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) to celebrate the role midwives play in the birthing journey. Tampa General Hospital has provided midwifery care for patients for more than 40 years, through both Women’s Health Care (WHC) and the USF Health midwifery team.
In this “Ask an Expert” discussion, Jessica Brumley, PhD, CNM, FACNM, will explain the history of midwives and how they help mothers-to-be navigate their pregnancies and assist in their deliveries. Dr. Brumley, who is also President of the ACNM, will answer your pre-submitted and live questions, sharing her vast knowledge of all things midwifery.
The live presentation will be on TGH's Facebook page and YouTube channel from 12:30-1:00 p.m. Please register to pre-submit any questions.
