Skin Cancer Screening
Tampa General Hospital and USF Health’s Department of Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery are providing a free Skin Cancer Screening for the community.
Description
Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the United States, with an estimated one in five Americans developing skin cancer in their lifetime, according to the American Academy of Dermatology Association (AAD). When detected early, most skin cancers are treatable—yet many people delay getting their skin checked due to cost, access to healthcare or lack of awareness.
In an effort to support early detection, TGH and USF Health are offering this free screening to the public. Our team, led by board-certified dermatologists, will perform non-invasive skin checks to exposed skin areas to identify any suspicious spots that may need follow-up care. This is a screening only and no diagnoses are given during your appointment, but medical recommendations are made if any areas of concern are found.
Please pre-register to reserve your 10-minute screening time slot.
