Description
Tampa General Hospital’s Cancer Institute is a proud sponsor of the 2024 Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) Walk/Run on November 2nd at ZooTampa at Lowry Park. Join us as we walk, run, and become part of a movement to accelerate a cure for multiple myeloma! The MMRF is the largest nonprofit in the world solely focused on accelerating a cure for each multiple myeloma patient. Register for free and help the MMRF continue its work by creating a fundraiser or donating to the Tampa General Hospital Team.
Attendees can learn more about the TGH Cancer Institute from myeloma expert and honorary event chair, Dr. Ivan Borrello, and myeloma nurse practitioner and team captain, Jennifer Hanle, APRN. Patient Ambassador, Rita Kerner, will also share a personal perspective based on her inspiring journey with multiple myeloma. Dr. Borrello is a hematologist oncologist and renowned physician-scientist who serves as Medical Director of the Myeloma, Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) and Cell Therapies programs within the TGH Cancer Institute.
