Thriving and Surviving with Cancer
This is an interactive group workshop for cancer survivors, their support team of caregivers, family, and friends to learn how to live a healthier life as a cancer survivor.
Description
Completing cancer treatment is both an exciting milestone and a source of stress. Thriving and Surviving with Cancer is a program developed by Stanford University’s Self-Management Resource Center. This virtual program is designed for cancer survivors and their support networks, including caregivers, family, and friends. The program features six (6) 1-hour sessions that cover a range of topics focused on adapting to life after treatment and promoting healthier living as a cancer survivor. Each session addresses common challenges survivors face, such as physical, emotional, and psychological changes following treatment. Participants have the opportunity to rebuild confidence and develop strategies for adjusting to a “new normal” and embracing a healthier lifestyle post-cancer.
