Movement is Medicine: Tai Chi
Gentle movement classes that are easy to follow for beginners and all levels. These movements can be performed standing and seated using mindful elements such as better breathing techniques, posture, balance, focus, flexibility, Tai Chi, and Qigong.
Description
These mindful, tai chi-based classes are designed to help individuals improve their overall health and boost their immune systems. The movements are especially beneficial for those dealing with chronic conditions, stress, or balance issues. Each session incorporates elements of enhanced breathing, posture, coordination, balance, flexibility, Tai Chi, and healing Qigong.
The program is easy to follow and can be performed either standing or seated. It is geared towards beginners and participants of all levels who want to learn and practice calming health improvement techniques such as Tai Chi and Qigong.
Please note that both virtual offerings feature the same lesson. You are welcome to attend on multiple days, but be sure to register for each day you wish to participate.
Virtual Classes:
To complete your registration, you must submit the waiver included in your registration confirmation email. Once your waiver is processed, you will receive instructions and a link to access the class. Please ensure you are familiar with Microsoft Teams, as it is required to attend the virtual class.
In-Person Classes:
To participate in this program in person, you need to register for a TGH Fitness Center membership, which costs $22 per month. Technology requirements: Internet access and a computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone with video camera, microphone, and speaker capabilities.
